Terms of Use
Last updated August 13, 2026
These Terms of Use are the end-user license agreement (EULA) for Detoxify, an iPhone app operated by Refrigerator LLC (“we”, “us”). By downloading, signing in, or using Detoxify, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Privacy is explained separately in the Privacy Policy.
1. Agreement
These terms apply to the Detoxify iOS application and to detoxifyapp.com. They do not replace Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If Apple’s standard EULA and these terms conflict on a point Apple requires, Apple’s terms control for that point.
2. The app
Detoxify lets you track habits you want to avoid or perform. You hold a button to log a resist or to start or end a session. You can log a tally. The app shows today, a chart, and progress summaries. You may keep up to four habits.
The hold button and today’s count are available without a paid subscription. Longer history and related insights (“Detoxify History”) require an auto-renewable subscription, described below.
We may change features. We do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
3. Not medical advice
Detoxify is a tracker you operate yourself. It is not a medical device, not therapy, not counseling, and not a treatment for addiction, substance use, or mental health conditions. Nothing in the app is a diagnosis, a prescription, or a crisis service. If you are in danger or need clinical help, contact a qualified professional or local emergency services. Do not delay care because of something you saw in Detoxify.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 17 years old to use Detoxify. You must be able to enter a contract. If you use the app, you confirm that this is true.
5. Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for that sign-in. Habit names and logs are your content. Do not enter anyone else’s private information. We may suspend or close an account that abuses the service, breaks the law, or tries to interfere with other users or our systems.
To delete your account, use Delete account in the app (habit list). Details are in the Privacy Policy. Deleting the app from your phone does not delete the server copy or cancel a subscription.
6. Subscriptions
Paid access is an auto-renewable In-App Purchase billed by Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
Detoxify History — weekly
Length: one week. Price: $6.99 USD (or the Apple local equivalent shown in the App Store and on the paywall).
Detoxify History — yearly
Length: one year. Price: $39.99 USD (or the Apple local equivalent shown in the App Store and on the paywall).
Both plans include a 7-day free trial where offered. At the end of the trial, the subscription converts to a paid plan at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the same length and at the price in effect. You can manage and cancel in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. You can also use Restore Purchases in the app if you reinstall or change phones.
Prices may differ by country and currency. Apple, not Detoxify, handles taxes, receipts, and refunds for In-App Purchases. Request refunds from Apple. Canceling stops future renewals; it does not usually refund the current period.
If a subscription lapses, you keep the free button and today’s count. History features lock until you subscribe again or restore a valid purchase.
7. License and acceptable use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Detoxify on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store rules. We keep all other rights in the app, name, and design.
You may not:
- Copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or resell the app except as the law allows
- Use it to harm others, or to store illegal content
- Probe or overload our servers
- Misrepresent a medical or official status you do not have
8. Disclaimers and liability
The app is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Tracking a habit does not guarantee that you will change it.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or health outcomes, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for a claim about the app is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Detoxify in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $50. These limits do not apply where the law forbids them, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence where that cannot be limited, or for consumers in the EEA/UK who keep mandatory statutory rights.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in the EEA or the United Kingdom, you also keep any mandatory protections of the country where you live.
We may update these terms. The date above will change. If you keep using the app after an update, you accept the new terms, except where the law requires your extra consent.
9. Apple’s role
You acknowledge that these terms are between you and us, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. If the app fails to conform to a warranty that cannot be disclaimed, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the App Store purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing claims about the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory failure, or consumer protection claims. Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging a third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property. Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this section and may enforce it against you.
You represent that you are not in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on a U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
